Alison's Story
I started working with Abi 4 months ago to gain accountability, inspiration, learning and commitment. I chose Abi because she represented a healthy approach to exercise and weight management and I felt drawn to her profile.
When I started I wanted to create balance with my relationship with food and exercise- not an all or nothing approach. I also wanted to get stronger and learn more about training and lifting.
Since training with Abi I have achieved all of the above!
I now feel more in balance. I am able to make wiser choices and recognise that I haven’t ‘ruined’ everything - able to live my life and enjoy food and exercise again. She’s taught me how to exercise and train for my body e.g amending certain movements (squats with a raised heel!). She’s taught me I can be be strong! Which has given more confidence to lift heavy and love it.
What I’ve been most surprised at is how strong I’ve gotten! I genuinely never thought I’d love heavy lifting. Also that I don't need to be in the gym 3 x a week to see results. I’ve seen the best performance based results of my life through weekly sessions.
One of the other things that Abi is great at is understanding motivation and having thorough weekly check ins to keep you accountable, keep on track of short and long term goals.
Abi has a unique way of combining a warm and encouraging attitude but she will call you out on your own bulls**t in a sensitive way, helping empower and focus on the positives.
Training with her has been genuinely life changing.
