Fam's story
I have been working with Abi for 9 months now. I chose Abi because she seemed so much more than just a trainer. I wanted to have somebody who would hold me accountable and guide me through my weight loss journey and after training with Abi, I learned so much about the psychology of why some of my previous diets or exercise routines had not been sustainable for and learned skills that not only helped me stay on track with my fitness but in other aspects of my life too.
My initial goals were to lose weight and get fitter, but after a couple of months of training with Abi, I managed to change my mindset and focus on getting healthier and stronger.
Since training with Abi I have learned that the occasional setbacks and falling off track are an inevitable part of any journey in life (including the fitness journey) and it is important to keep going and trust the process rather than giving up every time you miss a goal.
As a result, I am now a lot less focused on the number I see on the scale or the exact number of calories I consume each day, but rather focused on having a more balanced lifestyle that allows me to enjoy my guilty pleasures (eating and drinking!) but still feeling stronger and healthier each month.
One of the most valuable things about coaching with Abi has been the regular checkpoints and chats, which have been immensely helpful in keeping me motivated and on track.
